Warming up to Cabarete's weather - the endless summer climate - is like a dream come true for winter-weary northerners like us. What a welcome perk to switch out temps from way below freezing "back home" - to the balmy mid-20s Celsius in Cabarete!

Who knew? winter - our favorite season??? It IS now.

It didn't take us long to acclimate to the climate of our new DR home. Instead of hoping to have 2 or 3 months of summer in Canada, we KNOW we'll have it all year long here. Big difference.

Our hometown, Cabarete, is world famous for near perfect climate conditions for many water sports like kite-boarding, windsurfing, sailing, and surfing.

That fact alone, is enough motivation for us "northern-dwellers" to relocate here for the tropical comfort.
